It’s always wonderful to open up your eyes on the day of the “All Camp Relay” and see the sun shining bright. After a lazy day sleep in, all campers met with their respective teams to get their assignments for their part in the All Camp Relay. The relay is comprised of 40 events which encompass all aspects of the camp in activities such as Archery, Swimming and Golf, as well as making smore’s over a campfire and racing with that plate to the middle of the field for a signature, then running to the mess hall, singing grace, setting the table for 10 people including putting the chairs out. They then run back and tag the next two runners who stand behind the chairs, say grace, sit down, clear the table and stack the chairs they both run back to the ball field where a runner runs to first base, does 5 dizzy izzy’s and runs home where another runs to second base, does 10 jumping jacks and passes the baton to another who goes to another event etc... this continues for 2 hours!!! Every camper is included and the relay ends in a fun captains event...which always ends up to be exciting as the captains go thru a series of stunts while being cheered for by the whole camp. This years was messy, hysterical and exciting. The relay was won by the white team. Red and white is not over. Although the white team has won both the sing and the relay... there are many other events that carry high point values. The winner will be announced on Wednesday evening at the Final Banquet.
