The time has arrived that many Marimeta campers wait for all year long! Red and White teams have been picked and the campers are screaming with excitement. Everyone was at dinner and all dressed up (because of the social with Ojibwa) and little Michael Cohen went up to the senior cabin table and asked Lisa F. and Susie P. if the teddy bears that he was holding were theirs? Everyone’s eyes opened wide as they looked at the notes that were stuffed into the pockets of each bear. The Notes said “Congratulations Red Team Captain, Lisa F.” and “Congratulations White Team Captain, Susie P.” The whole table screamed...and then everyone knew what was happening... a cart was rolled out with red and white roses for the captains and red and white carnations for everyone on each team. We had pictures of this.. but everyone was moving so quickly...that they all came out blurry! The Co-Captains were Lauren D. for Red and Stephanie Z. for White. The other red team captains were Erin F., Lynsie B., Carly W. and Julie R. The other white team captains were Lauren W. , Britt S., Stephanie S and Samantha N.
