Marimeta girls love it when a Social is announced. Early in the afternoon, Sandy was touring two Marimeta Alumni thru the camp. All of the campers were called to the center of the field, not knowing what was to occur. When Sandy introduced them to the campers they were all whispering (teams had not been announced yet) that they thought this was for Red and White... Liz and Barb were asked what they were doing visiting camp and they told the girls that they were here to tell them about the “Social with Ojibwa”. At first they thought it wasn’t true.. that it was a plan to announce teams.. but then the screams began...and they were told they would have time to shower after 5th period activities. The younger campers stayed at Marimeta and the older dudes and pioneers went to Ojibwa. We are certain the the “pony express box” will be full of mail this week ahead!
