Acting crazy in their goggles, towels and bathing caps paid off for Mari Group 2 who won the award for Creativity for their rendition of “Splish Splash”.
Grease was the inspiration for the Sandy award winning dance made up by Meta Group 1 who performed “We Go Together”.
Everybody seemed to agree that Mari Group 3 deserved to win the Sandy for best overall MTV production. Stephanie Z. lipsinced to the Garth Brooks song “Aint Goin Down Till The Sun Comes Up”, while the rest of the group stomped their heels and twirled their guns in a country western extravaganza
After all the points were tallied, it was clear which team would be the overall winner of Mari-Meta League. The Rec Hall exploded with cheers and congratulations when the Mari’s, lead by Becky S. were announced as the winners, with a score of 281-212. Whether part of the winning team or not, everybody had a great time and the evening was the perfect close to a perfect first four weeks at Marimeta!
