Mari-Meta League “99 came to spectacular close on Wednesday night with the star-studded MTV Award Show. The campers arrived at the beautifully decorated rec hall dressed as their favorite entertainers. This time it was the counselors turn to “strut their stuff” on stage in their own MTV productions. Every group waited eagerly for the presentations of the “Sandys” Marimeta’s version of the Oscar’s!
Although every group deserved a “Sandy” there had to be winners. Jamie O’s interpretation of a robot must have impressed the judges because this awarded Mari group 5 the best costume Sandy for “Boom Boom”. Meta Group 5, who performed “Take Me There” from the Rugrats movie, took home the Sandy for Best Lip Sync., thanks to the singing skills of Dana T., Lauren W. and Meredith S..
